TOKYO: The dollar held its ground in Asian trade Friday as investors waited to see stimulus measures for the US economy, with dealers hesitating at any knee-jerk reaction to fears of a US recession.

The forex market declined to inflict another beating on the dollar despite volatility on equities markets over the outlook for the world’s largest economy.

The dollar rose to 107.04 yen in afternoon trading from 106.59 yen in New York late Thursday, while the euro was quoted at 1.4641 dollars
